Can I get a witness?

"…but he has told me, ‘My grace is all you need, because my power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will most happily boast about my weaknesses, so that the Messiah's power may rest on me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9

When reminded that God does not give us any burdens we cannot handle, Mother Teresa replied, "I know, but sometimes I just wish He didn't think so highly of me."
While it’s true that tough times can challenge us and shape character, most of us would prefer that God would find another teaching method!

While hitting rock bottom is not fun, crises do offer opportunities for growth and service. For instance, sometimes God allows us to go through hard times so that we can learn to truly trust Him. You see, when we do choose to trust God – even when there is no concrete evidence of His presence - we demonstrate real faith. And that faith is not only demonstrated to God, it is a powerful witness to everyone who sees what you have gone through. Look at the example shown by Joseph. After thirteen years of miserable setbacks, the first thing he did was to stand before Pharaoh and share his testimony of his faith in God. What a magnificent witness to the glory of God!

So, when facing tough times, recognize the opportunity you have to build trust in God, deepen your faith, and become a powerful witness for your Heavenly Father.

Whereas the Proverb holds truth, as for people in recovery, we have to accept that another run might be our last. All too many times have I not witnessed people who thought they had just one more run in them. When come to find out the end of the line came a city morgue. The truth of the described is brutal and yet eye opening to most of us that desire more for our lives, and who wouldn't, yet we cannot dictate the serious facts of addiction, "if we continue to do the same old things, we will continue to get the same old results." I have known people fifteen year clean / and sober when back to the old life for a visit and never came back, it is heartbreaking to loose a friend like that. In ministry, I have seen so many living in deception, it kills me, the enemy's grasp upon some people lives. "Grasp," I know no other way to describe it, people that elude themselves into thinking they can live in a life of crime, theft, backbiting, and untruths, while hiding behind the disguise of a believer in Christ, which in contrast, is their biggest deception the huge mile-stone around their neck, because the described is nothing of what Christ, God is about or living for Him encompasses. So what's our lesson, I think first to take Mark Twains advise and first be True to one self, foremost though to awake today with the mindset to be the example of Christ to the World.

Lord, it is you that bring me hope, You that bring me strength, Your truth lights the path that my feet will travel knowing this Lord brings me great Peace........

You might think it silly now, but way back when, Nicholas Jonas was just twelve I was begging Christian stations to play his music, I said this kid is going to be Big, He is going places, hehe Wow was that an understatement. I wrote them (The Jonas's) and told them I would remove the photo / link if they wanted The Two Great Cd's at the time was and still is "Dear God" and "Joy to the world a Christmas Prayer" boy these are still timeless gifts hope you get one Oh the next year his Cd's took off and they were playing those Cd's all the time in the interim I put the Cd hook-ups on the Christian sites. I have always valued the impute from readers, especially men and woman in recovery, Why.?. Because I feel as if we have come so far already, I mean, temptation on either side of us. Sometimes right in our families, some that may find joy in our falling. Regardless the struggle I believe God has given me the gift to empower His papers to make lives step into the Full Armor of God Daily, We have to deal with what is in the day right now! Because we cannot change ten minutes ago, we can't change a year ago, but we can know in the day we will strive to make our lives a beacon to those suffering and granted there are many.
